YOU FILMS – WEDDING VIDEOS We are ‘You Films’ – wedding videographers based in Perth, Western Australia. All of a sudden, we were sharing our new found passion and You Films was born. Chantelle had always worked with me, but never shot a wedding with me. The first time she did, she too fell in love. I was working with people on one of the most special and memorable days of their life. Each wedding was so unique and special – so individual to the couple. I fell in love. It all started when I, Sean, a self employed videographer and photographer starting shooting weddings on a contract basis for one of Perth’s leading Wedding Videographers. Actually, when we shoot your ceremony, we prefer to use 3 cameras – but we’ll discuss this with you – because it’s your wedding! HOW IT ALL STARTED. You’ll want to share it with the world because it does so in a manner that is absolutely unique to you. We always shoot with at least two cameras too. It allows for a great deal more creativity in our edit, and it allows for you to see a great deal more in your video. We’ll sit down with you and get to know you, and use the information we collect to help us form a film that is special to you. You’ll love to watch your wedding film because it captures one of the most special occasions in your life. We don’t just talk about it – we do it! But with that in mind, we pride ourselves on our ability to shoot to our couple’s requirements – some like it up closer and personal, some like us to stay well out of the way. Our main goal though, is to tell a story about your day. Your wedding is as unique as you are, and your wedding film should reflect that. In fact, we pride ourselves on this candid style of shooting. After all, you should spend your wedding day celebrating your love for one another; not being told how to stand. OUR STYLE We always aim to capture moments as they happen – not to set them up. Our goal is to shoot without interfering. Buying the dress, and everything else that’s involved in planning one of the most special days of your life, choosing the venue, is an experience that you’ll remember for life. We focus on providing our couples with the best possible experience we can provide for them – not just because we love referrals, but because it’s what we expect on our wedding day! Your wedding isn’t just about the day – it’s about the experience. We’re a small, family business. We are a young, dynamic duo who don’t do things ‘the way they’ve always been done’. We chose video because it has the power to evoke an incredibly powerful emotional response – so much more than you can find in a single still image. We absolutely love weddings – but we are more than wedding videographers; we are wedding ‘story tellers’. (April 15th, 2013 – and no, we haven’t picked our wedding videographer yet!).
